First Post Ever =)

So.....I've been stepping up on the (mostly knitting) blog-reading lately and decided that I now need my own! Right now I'm working on a few projects, but I'm mostly obsessed with this pattern from the latest Vogue knitting magazine - Winter 2006/07 - a striped cropped cardigan with ruffles around the edges:

I'm so in love with it and it actually fits really well - the magic of doing swatches and getting gauge - fascinating!

I finished sleeve #1 yesterday morning and after Husband & I got back from the Griffith's Observatory in the evening I got him to take some pictures which I will toss into this here post because I am a big fan of WIP photos! No face shot right now because I am still recovering from LASIK & am not exactly excited about pictures at the moment....one more week, help me.

Well, at the rate I've been going I should have this top knocked out by the end of the week (so I can wear it to my Thursday night knitting group). Then I will post face forward pictures with a BIG smile.

Last but not least - pictures from yesterday @ the Observatory - I feel much more enlightened about our place in the universe after our trip.
